I am a bike commuter. I enter Dublin from Pleasanton on Santa Rita/Tassajara, and ride up to Central Parkway, then west to Arnold Road, where I work. Some parts of the route have debris in the bike lanes. It would be nice if these were regularly cleaned without having to contact Dean McDonald every time. My suggestion, in addition to street sweeping more often, would be to tell the street sweepers, "Think like a bicyclist, where would you ride if you were on a bike and drive right down the middle of that area." I actually have gotten a flat tire, which I attribute to all the debris in the bike lanes, and the bike lane extended, which is what I call the area that goes across the intersections, that is the worst. I would really like to go on a ride with this committee, so we have a better understanding of the situation and if there are any solutions.
