Long "floating" or "sandwiched" bike lanes to the left of right turn lanes are not "all-ages" appropriate facilities. At the point where a "floating" lane is required above 150 feet, or where there are 2 right turn lanes, or where getting to the floating lane involves actually crossing a travel lane, the city should default to a protected intersection.
